ericsson/motd 1.0.1 add newline at the end of the content

I'm using ericsson/motd 1.0.1 on a Red Hat Satellite 6 server which uses puppet 3.75. I having a little problem with this motd. I wouldn't put a newline at the end of the content, thus the password prompt is on the last line of the content. Any one know how to fix this? Right now I add a line at the end of the content that is only a period, so you get . Password
